Swine Showmanship, Breeding Gilts & Market Hogs – Andrew Anderson (Caney, Kansas)

Andrew Anderson is from Caney, Kansas. He currently attends Kansas State University where he is majoring in Animal Science while also serving as the K-State Assistant Livestock Judging Coach. Andrew attended Northern Oklahoma College (NOC) for junior college where he was part of a highly competitive livestock judging team. He then transferred to Kansas State where he continued livestock judging. Throughout his collegiate judging career, he has received numerous accolades— including being named the High Individual Overall at the American Royal Livestock Judging Contest in 2021.

Age Divisions: Exhibitors will show in one of the following divisions based off age as of Jan. 1, 2022:

a. Beginner – 4-8

b. Junior – 9-12

c. Intermediate – 13-15

d. Senior – 16+

JBE/JSE Pancake Breakfast – Join us on Friday, March 18th at 7 a.m. for the JBE/JSE Pancake Breakfast in the Lewis Barn.

JBE/JSE Cornhole Tournament – Join us on Friday, March 19 after the Junior Market Cattle Show for the Annual JBE/JSE Cornhole Tournament in the Teague Arena. Practice up at home, find a partner, and come prepared for a good time!

Stalling Assignments – JSE will provide one pen per animal in the exhibitor barns on a first come, first serve basis. Should entries exceed the number of available pens, swine will be assigned stalling two per pen. All animals must be on grounds prior to the end of check in and must remain in place until the animal has completed competition. Non-entered livestock are prohibited from coming onto grounds.
